I reckon something like that would do nicely - I'll have to look if they do 'shallow rack' sized shelves as well. _ i'd also consider drilling four holes in and mounting the amp via rubber washers direct to the shelf. Just to be safe.

Genius!!

I'm looking out for a slotted rack shelf so that it won't be necessary to drill out or use sticky pads or anything. When I find one which is the right size, I will let you guys know as I think it will be a benefit and a massive cost saver!

I used to own an SVT2 Pro and two 45Kilos cabinets  - I do very much think myself lucky - nearly as much as my spine does these days!

This is what eBay has to offer - I'm just seeing which is most likely to take the RH450 either by physically screwing to or using some really nice long cable ties as straps!

I was thinking more in terms of the price tag of these kind of accessories :)

Oh!! I see! - As heavy then! Actually - I am that annoyed, it's putting me off the RH, becasue it's such a ball ache! even MarkBass F1 rack ears, just for folded metal is a rip off at 22 quid!

I have 3 of those metal rack trays if any RH450 owners are interested; not looking for a massive amount for them. I did a very similar thing to rackmount the head unit from a H&K bassbase combo, if you don't trust your ability to mark and drill the holes accurately you simply get a handful of large washers and you can get them to fit! :)

Hi Guys - I'm certainly interested and his a reply to both of you. I'm using a short rack case and can not go over 300mm deep. I can go to a maximum of 2u safely though. So if either of you can help, that'd be brilliant! Ideally, I am looking at a 2u tray that is around 250mm deep - there's one I have spoted on ebay (in the list above). However I don't think it has any guide holes in - Yes, I'll be getting the drill and rubber washers out for sure!

Thank you guys - I f*cking love BassChat, what a community!

Cool! :)

Just been out and retrieved said shelf - here are the measurements: front-to-back total depth = 255mm, tray size = 230mm x 440mm, white powder-coated steel, 2U.

Piccies up tomorrow once I've got them off of my phone.
