Prime_BASS
Currently have a Orange Bass Terror and it's amazing for what it is, but you guys know the story. Im looking for something smaller, more powerful and more features. I guess I'm mainly after clip lights and input lights. Only other requirements are that it must do at least 300w 4ohm, to be able to drive a single midget, at least 1 tube in the preamp. Tone wise, as long as it's clean is cool. One thing I had in mind is a SVT7-pro: I know it's heavier than the OTB but it's power ratings are perfect for either a single midget or 2 (which I'll be getting) I had a SVT3 for some time and loved the tone but was underpowered for my compact that I had at the time. And the 7s tone is pretty close. Features wise it's got a lot aswell. Another one I've looked at is the Genz-Benz shuttle 9.0, it's got a great amount of wattage, and it's clean tone is nice and even. Another option for lightness is the SWR HeadLite but to get enough power I'd need the amplite aswell, which is another 400+ on the price, so I think that is kinda out. That's all im really clues up on. I'd most probably be buying used aswell, and I haven't seen any used prices for those above. Thanks for any input. Conan
Hartke LH500 or LH1000? Certainly does the clean sound, and has a pre-amp valve... Not exactly over-burdened with "features" though... Oh, and it ain't smaller either. Just forget I said anything! Prime_BASS
The 500 is also double the weight of the OTB.
