Stacker Posted September 19, 2010 Posted September 19, 2010 You paid full whack for that?? Best of luck with your sale. Good basses/
BarnacleBob Posted September 22, 2010 Posted September 22, 2010 Not a Fender man normally but that is a beaut! If I had to have one that would be it! Oh and a nice little TV Bassman combo to go with it! BB
BoomBass Posted September 22, 2010 Posted September 22, 2010 (edited) Usually, I don't like relics, but I love natural wear. This one, however, has the nicest relic, I have ever seen. It actually looks pretty natural and it's subtle - not over the top trashed... Very nice looking bass! :-) Have a free bump and good luck with the sales! Edited September 23, 2010 by BoomBass

BB[/quote] Wow - I agree with the other poster as well who said that the wear patterns - for once - look really natural, even the fading on the headstock. Normally I don't go for the artificial Road Worn look (why not just buy an old guitar?) but this is really really nice. Out of my price range, but a really great looking guitar (and nice case too).
jsixties Posted September 26, 2010 Author Posted September 26, 2010 I thought it was sold but I haven't got any more news from the buyer, so now could be your chance.
jsixties Posted September 26, 2010 Author Posted September 26, 2010 Thank you Chris. I will swap this gem for a fretted Wal Mk1 maple facing so it's a bass than a close friend of mine and me want since many years ago.
bassotaiteilija Posted October 1, 2010 Posted October 1, 2010 Whoaaa, this is a sweet one! Correct me if wrong, but is there a screw missing from the tuner of the E-string? What's up with that? Cheers

This is the way that came from Fender. By the way, the bass it's sold pending payment.

Things like changed tuners (that are changed for different ones and then the originals changed back) or lost/broken screws are all part of what might have happened to a 50 year old bass.
