I have an hour or two to kill tomorrow afternoon before my flight back to London. Does anyone know of any good bass shops in Copenhagen that I could go snooping round?

PS, I think Celinders are made there but at their new prices I won't be buying anything other than strings!

Couldn't help idly wondering if local bass retailers take advantage of their most famous luthier's reputation by selling loads of Cylinder basses and Colander basses ...

There's three I can remember, but this was years ago.

You go up the main pedestrianised shopping street, heading away from Tivoli right to the top and there's a xcouple of big music shops on the right

There's also the bass shop where Celinder are based.

We are talking 10+ years ago since I went though.

Danish girls and Tuborg. Very nice. 25% VAT on booze. Not so nice.

I've spotted the Danish girls. They have yet to spot me! Tuborg and Cucumber basses it is then :)

Celinder are no longer retailing, although Chris used to own a music shop I believe. He's got a small workshop close to the airport these days.
