TimR
Any tips on how to acliatise to playing with plugs? I'm sure the ER20's are up to the job. I just can't deal with the change in what I'm hearing. I guess the bits I listen out for with the drummer and the guitarist aren't as easy to pick up on as without plugs.
I've got the ER20s. I can't tell the difference between them in or out other than the volume.

phil.mcglassup
The ER-20s drop the volume just fine - it's just the 'occlusion' that's the problem when doing backing vocals. Hey, I've learned a new word!! Perhaps the HF17s will do the job. Has anyone tried them?
DanOwens
You guys must play in quiet bands! Either that or my bandmates are weaklings! My bandmates all recommended ER25s because we play at band volume. My Little Mark 250 is at about 40% and that competes with my drummer. Still, I went for 25s. RichardH
OK, just been to have the impressions taken, and my cunning discount scheme worked. I had mine doine through Boots Hearing. If you join their (free) priority club before getting the impressions done, you'll get a discount. So the HF17s I went for (RRP £139) cost me £115. More detail here. I should add that they were a bit puzzled as to why I was a member of the priority club, which is mainly aimed at regular purchasers of hearing aid batteries and the like, but it all went through OK. phil.mcglassup
Good thinking - well done How long will it take to get them made? When you do get them, can you please give us a review? Cheers.
