Clarky
I bought this only a couple of weeks ago but my circumstances have changed, having just secured a double bass spot in a band and having no need of the extra string in my punk outfit. If I'm hionest I am also having some problems switching from 4 to 5 strings. Finally my CS Jazz has not sold and I am thinking of keeping it as it's such a nice example (not decided yet). Something has to give and this is the most expendable of my basses as its the least likely to be gigged any time soon. So it's a 1992 Alembic Elan 5 with flame walnut top, maple body and purple heart laminates in the neck. Ebony board. Weighs about 10.5 pounds. Plays superbly with low action, wearing a new set of EB Slinkies. Minor surface dints but none that would be picked up by camera. It really could pass for a recently made instrument, rather than one that is 18 years old. I have ordered a brass truss rod cover from Alembic ( to replace the personalised one with letter N that is there now) which will be included in the sale. No case but I will buy hard case if it needs shipping For a couple more pics, click on link in my sig below. I am asking what it cost me on eBay (not including postage), which was £1,750.
