bassjamm
Hi all, Not had this long, i wasn't that keen on it to begin with, but i've since set it up and it's just awesome, the tone is beautiful, but unfortunately, the bank account isn't looking that great so unless i can work things out, this will have to go!!! I've currently got it setup for E - C tuning, but i can quite happily restring it B - E and adjust the action where neccessery. I don't know much about these basses, but here's some pics, and below them, the blurb from the Ken Smith website. I'll be looking to get what i paid for it back, so £750 which includes the built like a brick hardcase (which is a bit tatty in places, but it does the job and is probably the best hardcase i've ever owned). thedontcarebear
Although off topic, I just noticed you are in Groove Cartel, I sold your guitarist an Ibanez a few years back, and your drummer teaches at the school where I work (although I must point out I don't actually know them!) Kiwi
Jamie have you thought about putting some samples up? I have no doubt this is a nice sounding bass and a great price.

But i'd rather not, in my opinion, either people want this enough to come and try it, or they know how good it is to buy it and have it shipped. Besides that, i don't have the facility to record it...but i feel that it wouldn't be for the best personnally. I appreciate your thoughts though. franzbassist
I'm amazed no one has bought this. Admittedly these basses are the more budget range (now discontinued) from Ken, but they are still a very high quality, Japanese-made and US-finished, bass. The price is great too, so a bump methinks...

ped
Its the nicest sounding Smith I have laid hands on! I was very taken with it. Go on jammy get some samples up - it will tickle the tastebuds of potential buyers because I fear many will not have heard the unique Ken Smith sound before. Cheers ped

Cheers ped
I'm really not keen to do this mate...i want serious interest, anyone who's serious will want to play this first, or know it's right for them...failing that then i will discuss sound clips with them. Me playing this bass will not sound like anyone else playing it as i play differently to everyone else, as we all do...a sound clip will not do it justice in my opinion! And besides, it's not like there's tonnes of people on here interested in it!!! Patience young sir Ped!
