neilb
I know that this is a "subjective" test but i would appreciate any comments from Bcers who use or have used TE amps with warwick cabs. I currently have a TE AH300SMC which is great. i run it through a 4 ohm 2 x 10 Peavey cab, which again sounds really tight and gives me that TE sound I missed so much. However, for larger gigs, I would like to get a 4 x 10 4 ohm cab and the Warwick takes my fancy: http://www.thomann.de/gb/warwick_wca_4104_pro.htm Would the warwick cab "colour" my nice TE sound too much? The Peavey sounded quite neutral so didnt detract from the "scooped" sound of the TE. Any comments/advice appreciated. HNY to all!!! The Burpster
Neily dood.... HNY 2U2- working NYE? I managed to wangle it off ! In answer to your above. Cabs are pretty simple things. (diemensions and ports can make a bit of difference) but the largest part of tone make up is the drivers. If you can find out what make and model they are you can normally check the makers webby to find a desc of the dynamics and maybe a sound clip.... (you can with Eminence and Celestion, My faves!). Merton
I looked at some Warwick cabs when i first got my Trace 12-band head a few years back. Personally I thought they sounded a crap pairing, I think you may miss a bit of the Trace bite but that may have been the 2x10 and 1x15 cab I was using...
