jonunders Posted October 1, 2010 Share Posted October 1, 2010 (edited) hi, i'm 50 and have been playing bass for 8 months. i'm joining a band and i am confused as to what amp to buy. 1x15 4x10 2x12 combo head + cab, or any combination known to man (or woman). at my age i'm not going to be playing big gigs. i play a g&l l2500. into most types of music but mainly blues/rock. i have a car with large boot. and a niggling back, who hasn't at 50!! any advice would be helpful. thanks jon Edited October 2, 2010 by jonunders Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Truckstop Posted October 1, 2010 Share Posted October 1, 2010 Nowadays with the advances in amplification and sound projection, a 2x10 combo is perfect to start with if you're going straight into gigging I reckon.
