buymeawal
Could this be real for £800 http://www.gumtree.com/london/23/66381623.html It sounds cheap
leftybassman392
Instinct should make you suspicious of an '80's Wal at this sort of price. Early Wals are getting strong prices currently. Sold my '84 lefty less than a year ago and the buyer did an exchange plus cash that valued mine at around £2500. Seen several more recently at similar prices. I'd want a few questions answered (and an opportunity to play it) before going much further. Delberthot
maybe someone who doesn't frequent bass forums and doesn;t have an accurate idea of what its worth? Can;t see it still being around if it is the real deal
bassatnight
Just to let you know I e-mailed the seller for more pics and info two days ago and no reply. I think if it sounds too good to be true it usually is... In this modern world of Internet if you had a guitar you hadn't a clue about a quick google would give you an idea of price. WalMan
The serial is not in the Wal d/b but falls around 1987. The control plate is similar to my Pro1 as it started, but expanded for the second pup - mine had volume & tone with a single coil tap switch. I wonder whether this is passive Pro model as well, though I suppose the serial might start with PB not W. As explained to me by Pete the passive Pro models were designed as a cheaper version that you could retrofit actives to at a later date, as I did. Just a thought Edited October 3, 2010 by WalMan
