charic Posted October 3, 2010 Posted October 3, 2010 Do the line6 lowdown amps have a bad reputation? I only ask as I'm looking at moving my 300pro on for 300quid and not even had a nibble. These retail at 550quid so I would have thought this was a more than fair price. Am I wrong? Am I setting it too high? Or is it the right price and not getting any interest just because they have some sort of bad reputation? Quote
markstuk Posted October 3, 2010 Posted October 3, 2010 I use (someone elses) one from time to time, and I'm not offended by it.. Would I buy one for myself..? Probably not unless it was seriously cheap. They seem to go for between £200 and £300 on Ebay when I've noticed them there.. However for me they're a bit too big (for rehearsing with) and not quite enough poke for live. Plus of course has little name recognition even though all the small music shops are full of Line 6 gear. Quote
Happy Jack Posted October 3, 2010 Posted October 3, 2010 (edited) GAK have these at £445 with free delivery. That seems to be the cheapest new price out there. On that basis, your £300 is probably a mite on the high side (I usually think in terms of 50% as top whack for s/h amps). More to the point, it really is a buyer's market out there. Everyone is waiting to see just how savage the spending cuts will be, before they start buying discretionary items like a better amp than the one they already have. charic Posted October 3, 2010 Author Posted October 3, 2010 Wow! It's unlike Soundlive to be that far out! I was basing the value on their price.. Ouch, that kinda hurts Quote
Muzz Posted October 3, 2010 Posted October 3, 2010 I shifted mine a while ago (before the New Age Of Austerity kicked in) for £250, which I thought was OK (and was what I'd paid for it). Quote
charic Posted October 4, 2010 Author Posted October 4, 2010 Thanks for the advice guys. I've dropped the price to 250 as advised. Fingers crossed now! I'm honestly shocked these don't get a lot more recognition. If it weren't for me living on the fourth floor there.would be no way I would be moving this on. Thanks again Quote
