Delberthot
That's practically giving it away. they normally go for a hell of a lot more than that. Wonder if he's selling a Wal for £800?
Bassassin
That really is cheap. That's the sort of thing a gyppo would buy simply for the outrageous profiteering opportunity. And me stuck up here in Edinburgh... Jon.
BassBunny
It's a well-documented scam. The same 4005 MapleGlo at the same unbelievable bargain price (4005s are like hen's teeth and usually sell for more like £4k-5k) has been listed repeatedly at various supposed locations around the UK. Anyone contacting the seller asking to view the bass is told "It's at my auntie's house in the Shetlands" or somesuch bollocks. tredders
I emailed the seller, and yep, it's the usual "it's in the Shetlands" line... Same old photos, and same old serial number. http://www.rickresource.com/forum/viewtopi...=2&t=376613 What's the old line? If it seems too good to be true, it probably is.... Edited October 4, 2010 by tredders
dangerboy
Ah. I'm actually glad that it's a scam. That way I didn't miss out!
