But there's no way I can forgive that uber-cheesy advert.

I am just a girl selling some of my my husbands beautiful guitars to pay the mortgage.

Yeh, right.

Ah,thanks for that Clarky. Learn something new every day. Cheers.

Restored my faith in the bass now!

No idea, to be honest but it seems to be standard. Doesn't affect how the bass plays IMHO (maybe it would if you played up at the highest frets a lot but I never venture up to that dark, murky other world!)

That scratchplate isn't original is it?
Never seen a 70s precision with anything other than a plastic one.

I wonder if the husband knows his collection is being sold on Ebay?

QC and Fender are two (ok 3!) words that have rarely coincided!

If you are worried about QC then don't buy Fender, but as Clarky says, bad QC never stopped Fenders sounding good.

The seller points this out in the text.

That non-aligned edge turned up on a Stingray Classic I bought...is there a reason for it?

I probably should have read it but I couldn't really be bothered. :)

I'm not allowed up there anyway :)

Still the second someone refers to a guitar as 'She' or 'her' i feel like i need to throw up and close the page.
Agreed, it's just wrong.

The seller certainly knows a lot about the bass in the write up details, makes me wonder why her husband isn't selling it though.

Finally, being a pedant, I wonder which of her "husbands" she is selling this for.

... or someone reading this thread made a sly 'off-eBay' offer. NOT me I hasten to add! :)
