BB2000
My BB3000, with recently fitted Badass II bridge.
Very nice! I thought it would look a lot like the MA 3000 (with the Gotoh bridge) but it doesn't.
BB3000S
My most recent addition, a BB1024X. My expectations were quite high, and this baby exceeded them by a mile. It really is an awesome bass, neck is chunky nice yet very fast and extremely comfy. Neck PU soloed gives a very organic P-style sound, adding in the bridge PU gives that classic Yamaha BB edge to it. And finally the bridge PU alone has one of the greatest burpiest characters around. Oh yeah, weight is a perfect (IMO) 4.2kg, and it balances perfectly on a strap. Try one out if you get the chance!
Horizontalste
Awesome bass, going on ebay for around £600 too. I'm tempted.
BB3000S
Awesome bass, going on ebay for around £600 too. I'm tempted.
Yeah, they are a bargain also at that price. I got mine 2nd hand in as new nick, I'd go so far as to say it's the best bass per ££ I've ever come across. Horizontalste
I like the 400s tone with the flats, I might try some on my 300. The 1300 has a nice rasp too but the 415 and the super Bb sound superior in my opinion.
GreeneKing
I thought I'd share my 4 Yamaha's The BB2024MX is new and I'm blown away by the passive tone from these pickups. The build quality, given that it's made in Yamaha's Japanese 'Custom Shop' is perfect, 10/10. The neck is completely free of dead spots and the colour is like butter. I always missed my CS Ric because of 'that colour' and now I'm happy again. I always wondered what the 'passive fuss' was about and now I know: Now for a pair of TRBP's, my 4 and 6 string. Both 34" scale Mk1's: And finally my Mk1 TRB5 that's also in great condition for it's age, again a 34" scale bass. This one is probably going up for sale due to redundancy (work not basses): Peter
