Hello, ive had this Lakland 44-01 for about a year and i loved it to start but the string spacing just was to wide for me and i never got used to it. So now i want to let it go to a home where someone will play it and love it. These are fabulous basses as some of you may agree. Its a sub £1000 bass that players and sounds like a bass worth twice its price tag. Im located in bournemouth so if anyone wants to have a viewing they're quite welcome. Heres some piccies.

Yeh its a good price. Its in very good condition to. Its just sitting in my bedroom in the case begging to be played.

What's this like with the slap tone? Nice and sharp? I only really play 6er's now but fancy a 4 string formulating around with my slap technique. I don want to buy something cheap and uncomfortable though... So before I find a Warwick Thunb I thought I'd look this up!

You can get a nice clean/sharp slap tone out of this. You can also get a deep more thumpy tone to. The bart mk1 preamp on this bass is excellent and allows your to dial in a vast array of tones. I have a thumb bass and ide bass its rivals the tone of the thumb.

Have you looked into changing the bridge to one with narrower spacing?
