Delberthot
Is that Jedward Lee from Mush any relation to Sarah who makes the chocolate gateauxs? I always remember what my dad told me on my 16th birthday - 'Get out' Some of these songs remind me of my late wife - she's late for everything Anyway, its nice to see you, to see you nice. Bu bu bu ba bu bu ba, good game, good game I've not got much money but my granny's got piles Gay guy walks into a butchers and says ' can I have a mince round?' and the butcher says 'yes but you'll need to be quick cos we shut in 5 minutes' I was compared to that Fela from the Red Hot Pilly Sneppers - compared to him I sound like a rabid pensioner throwing a bag of cats down a staircase
Doddy
this is still killer http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yioVmqlt2Fk&NR=1
As cool as it is rhythmically, there is little going on harmonically. This is my main gripe with Mark King in general. Yes he does some stuff where he doesn't get his thumb out,but it's not,for me,mind blowing by any stretch. Duarte
I saw Level 42 live very recently. I thought they were crap.

mep
Jazz Basses are utter crap... Precision Basses also have numerous design Flaws. Fender on the whole are gash. But if you choose anything more expensive, you're obviously some kind of bellend.
What does that say about Mark King & his Alembic bass then? Sibob
Threads mocking other types of threads are becoming more frequent than those they're parodying! Nice one guys! Si

There was a thread about forum negativity, and this was my attempt at poking fun at it - the negativity that is. I'm going to have a w*** over my Level 42 picture disc. paul h
I saw Rush once. To be more accurate I walked out halfway through the first song. Primus were brilliant though. I think I've seen Level 42. Can't be sure.

Pete Academy
Can I say that, in addition to seeing Level 42 in 1983 at Oxford Poly, I also saw Renaissance ('the Northern Lights') a few years before that There aren't enough Renaissance threads In fact this may be the first mention of Renaissance ever on BassChat. Fancy that?
The Rennassance bass player comes into our shop. The band has reformed recently and done a couple of successful US tours. lanark
He might be the world's greatest bassist, but it's still cardigan music.
