I've never seen a truss like this before. Squier E series P from Japan

Is it a straight forward job or one for the professionals?

I'd also put a pencil mark/line on the head and wood of the bass so that you can see where you started from... stops you going too crazy and gives you a reference point to go back to if it doesn't feel right afterwards. :)
