Is his strap stuck on with gaffer tape or am I seeing things? (I notice there's no picture of that end, apart from the huge hole where the strap nut's come out!)

But at least we know which other bands have recorded at the studio he's used.

What makes you think that? Could it be that the bass is a pile of crap with a dodgy paint job, the strap is held on with gaffa tape and worse than that, the knobs don`t match!!
