geoffbyrne
The equivalent of an MXR-80+ with a built-in compressor and chorus (or maybe phaser). That would cover 99.99% of the stuff I do. Suggestions? G.
ahpook
sounds a bit multi-fx to me... don't the line 6 floor pods have mxr distortion modelling ? Edited October 13, 2010 by ahpook
EskimoBassist
Obviously you are looking for a Multi unit, aside from ordering something custom (SFX would be a good bet), and although I would suggest you just to use single stomps, I myself use a M-80, Multi-Comp, Phaser and a Chorus together, perhaps you should look to the Zoom B2.1. I'm all about single units though.

I use an M80 myself - I've modified mine so that it lives in my live rack all the time and I have it controlled by my MIDI effects unit. Having said that, most of the time I use it the same as the OP.. AND I have fallen in love with 'going stereo' again with a luscious chorus! OH dear!!! Speaking of SFX - I think that'd be a great idea to have a custom built unit. I've said it before and I'll say it again - One day, I'll order something very cool from Max. Every time he displays a new item my wallet winces at my glee!

geoffbyrne
OK, to do it in singles, I'm assuming a compressor in front of the MXR-80+ and a bass-friendly chorus after it, but still before the MXR (otherwise no chorus on the DI). So what's an affordable (I'm retired!) decent compressor & a suitable chorus? G.
