pip Posted January 2, 2008 Posted January 2, 2008 Hi guys After watching adam nitti on bass player tv, when it came to the 10th video clip. He explains about doing scales in reverse and putting the root under the first finger of any key. So he's kinda starting high (G string) to low (low E). After understanding the concept I can't seem to visualise his way of thinking. Does anybody else understand this at all? I just can't see it on the fretboard either though I know the notes. Perhaps you just need a six string to understand I don't know? Thanks Phil Quote
6stringbassist Posted January 5, 2008 Posted January 5, 2008 If it was a minor key I'd start like that, root under my 1st finger, eg. C 5th fret on the G string, Bb 8th fret on the D, Ab 6th, G 5th, then F 8th fret on the A, Eb 6th, D 5th fret and finally C 8th fret on the E string. Quote
