4StringBass Posted October 14, 2010 Posted October 14, 2010 Hello all! I've been learning for the past 18 months and starting to get to a point where I'm feeling like I can actually play and looking to start playing jam nights/open night etc. Started off with a 4-string Peavey borrowed off a mate and now playing a gorgeous Fender 4-string jazz bass. I've signed up on recommendation of my tutor to expand my knowledge and also looking for info a bigger amp. Nice site! Cheers Andrew Quote

xgsjx Posted October 15, 2010 Posted October 15, 2010 Welcome. You'll get plenty of helpful advice in the Amps section to get you in the right direction. Give a budget & it'll be all but bought! Quote
4StringBass Posted October 15, 2010 Author Posted October 15, 2010 Thanks for the welcome folks. Del, it's Lawrie MacMillan, bassist for Ray Wilson (Stiltskin & ex-Genesis front man). Lovin' my lessons and lovin' my bass. Just need some more tone and a bit more oomph coming oot ma amp! Cheers Andrew Quote
Delberthot Posted October 16, 2010 Posted October 16, 2010 Cool - I had a couple of lessons from James Finnegan years ago after he left Hue & Cry and just before he joined Stiltskin Quote
