Stag
http://www.vintageandrareguitars.com/web/o...asses/item/7133 What on EARTH happened to the edges of the headstock on this... why did someone do it? Its... weird... and the colour! Weird. weird. weird.

Happy Jack
One of the worst re-fins I can remember, but I actually like the sculpted headstock. I'm old enough to remember when these were just workhorse basses, and every pub player had one. The whole vintage & rare, must-be-mint, collectible thing is a pretty recent phenomenomenomenomenome ... erm ... thing.
KiOgon
I'd say it's like notches on the bedpost - nudge nudge - maybe a lot of good times?
Happy Jack
I gave up on bedposts ... useless for retaining the flavour of chewing gum.
Cat Burrito
Never seen that either. And I'm equally baffled
Musicman20
Gross, what a shame. My 'must have a vintage Fender' dream has been well and truely overtaken and forgotten. I'd like one, oh yes, but I'm far too picky.
mcnach
one man's beauty is another man's horror. It's horrible! the neck at the nut looks pretty narrow, more Jazz than Precision...
Clarky
Slightly OT but good to see they are still listing the fretless 76P that I bought from them in May/June and sold to Happy Jack a month ago http://www.vintageandrareguitars.com/web/o...asses/item/6285

GreeneKing
It's an old cheap (to build) mass produced bass. Why not? These things are not anything special in the 'real world', get over it Peter
risingson
That is absolutely disgusting.
BassBod
Well, you had to be there, man. Or something like that. I'm more surprised that V&R seem to have missed the fact that their Bath closed a few weeks ago......thought that would be worth a mention on the website? Jigster
they're obviously the equivalent of notches on the bedpost - this was a ROCK GOD'S bass clearly

BassBod
Good to see they've updated it now (although I'm sure there was also a To Let sign up in the window last time I walked past).
