eubassix
This bass :- http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Rare-Vigier-4-String...=item3f04139d75 is the same instrument/seller as in this case:- http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=...mp;#entry993102 Could be a good buy if you're local (to Lichfield, not Larne!) and can inspect/try/collect and get with a decent offer. I won this bass on 1/8/10 but the seller kept my £640 (winning bid) until I managed to get it back through ebay/PP on 29/9/10. Full of excuses and BS and messed not only me about, but a couple of BC members who kindly offered to collect the bass on my behalf; seller (at that time 'parachutemusic' - No Longer Registered) was always too busy, not there, not available .... eubassix
This is interesting - looks like a great deal of thought was put into the description before commencing the auction (?) :- The seller has revised the following item information: Date Time Revised Information 18-Oct-10 19:49:54 BST Description 18-Oct-10 19:51:52 BST Description 18-Oct-10 19:53:36 BST Description 19-Oct-10 08:30:44 BST Description 19-Oct-10 08:32:44 BST Description 19-Oct-10 08:35:37 BST Description ... anyway, I couldn't resist a speculative bid/offer: all 3 offers up-to-and-including £599 were immediately rejected, so he's set a lower limit >£
eubassix
Update: email from Merv Spence (see link in Post #1) today. This is now chronologically not correct in terms of 'the saga' (see Items Wanted / Help - Lichfield) but as it's topical thought it best to add:- My brother in law has just called me and I just had to laugh as you must have been waiting on this to appear for weeks David which is why I did not use my own account (*1). I would rather give the bass away to charity than sell it to you man. James has contacted Ebay and we will provide them with all the information required to reinstate his account as I am away and not that bothered. I also believe you placed a couple of offers? you should have collected it when you won it (*2), as it was a great deal. *1: no longer registered *2: for 60 days the bass was not available for collection by either DHL or local BC members.
