SlabPro4 Posted October 22, 2010 Posted October 22, 2010 Reporting in from Canada, been playing since the 70's on and off mostly before and after marriage(s). Only thing that keeps my insanity relatively stable. I'm a classically trained violinist but I get much more gratification from playing pounding rock bass. I haven't bought a lot of basses but I have a 2009 Fender Custom Shop Jazz and a 1973 Precision. In storage is my Gibson EB-6. I've become somewhat of an amp hoarder however. I currently have an Ampeg SVT 4 Pro and matching SVP 1600 power amp, an Ampeg SVT 7 Pro and recently acquired an Ampeg V-4BH head. For cabinets I have 2 Ampeg 810E's and an Avatar Neo 410. I don't run any effects right now, but I use a Line 6 X2 Wireless. Been following some of the posts here for a couple of weeks (I didn't want to say lurking) and appreciate the light and non-combative tone here. Fine lot of fellows and gals if you'll have me. Cheers! Want to see a pic? Cabinets aren't level in this pic but I'll have to overcome my obsession with that. Quote
Alfie Posted October 22, 2010 Posted October 22, 2010 Wow! I guess your houses are bigger in Canada, that rig would destroy my village. Welcome to Basschat! Quote

Lozz196 Posted October 22, 2010 Posted October 22, 2010 Welcome to Basschat. I thought I could hear a rumble form the west, I now know it was yr rig Quote
SlabPro4 Posted October 22, 2010 Author Posted October 22, 2010 (edited) Thanks all for the warm welcomes! We had to upgrade the breakers in our rehearsal room when I joined. We're still knocking out power in other parts of the house. It's in our guitarist's basement, so it's not too loud outside (I don't think so anyways; the closest neighbour is afraid of our guitarist so she hasn't complained) but I imagine it creates a minor seismic rumble. And if any of you happen to be in the area, you're all welcome to a w*** on 'er! (my rig that is) edit: oops, didn't realize that portion of my handle would be ***'d out! Unfamiliar with the mother tongue, apparently! Apologies if I have offended anyone with my monicker. Edited October 23, 2010 by SlabWankerPro4 Quote
DirkThrust Posted October 23, 2010 Posted October 23, 2010 And another I think that qualifies as a rig of doom. Or DOOM Welcome to BC Quote
