billybongo Posted October 24, 2010 Posted October 24, 2010 Hi guy & gals. Used to play the bass many years ago but have not touched the intrument for a very long time (until now) just got myself a cheap affinity bass to get back into it and am quite surprised at the quality. Cheap basses were never this good years ago. The set up right out of the box was very nice,Decent action, could be lowered a tad but theres bags of room left in he saddles so no problems there. A very nice starter bass and especially since i bought the pack which included the amp etc, decent amp as well, perfect for noodling and i would guess would be pretty spot on for a decent acoustic jam Looking forward to having a good natter with like minded bassists and hoping to pick up a few tips along the way Quote
DirkThrust Posted October 24, 2010 Posted October 24, 2010 Wecome to BC. I'm sure you will be equally as surprised how things have improved in the amp market if you ever need to upgrade your rig. The range and quality and value for money of bass rigs is a far cry fron even 10 years ago. Quote
