Fuzz on U2's 'Get On Your Boots'

I'm in the market for a bass fuzz (I've been scouting around for a used Mastotron). It would be a bonus if it could produce a similar sound to the fuzz on that U2 track as the covers band I'm in are doing a version of it.

Anyone know if it could, or could anyone suggest another pedal worth checking out? I'm looking to spend £100ish, don't mind buying used.

In the verse it is, and in the chorus it's that deep in the mix it's hard to tell... but I definitely hear it in the intro and in the bass break after the first chorus.

Had a look/listen at the video on Youtube - hard to tell, mostly because The Edge is also playing that riff with a lot of distortion on it - bass does sound as if it's running clean-ish for most of the song, maybe with a smidge of grit on it mixed with the dry signal.

Overall, not a great U2 song - too much like Queens of the Stone Age, and not in a good way :/

I read somewhere, maybe Talkbass, that he was now using Bass Pod XT Pro. There was also mention of Bass Big Muff too.
