gary mac Posted January 5, 2008 Posted January 5, 2008 Impressive, got to admire them. Don't think my band mates would be too impressed if I tried it to Brown Eyed Girl though, not that I've got that sort of talent anyway. Enjoyed viewing though, cheers Gary. Quote

It's the same reason why some bass players moved to the bass guitar in the 50's - 60's and some stayed with the upright bass. Quote
Dread Bass Posted January 5, 2008 Posted January 5, 2008 oh no here we go again. stacedabass you might have missed them but recently there have been some very heated disscussions on number of strings so id advice you to stay away from that topic as you will open a can of worms. Nice videos tho some good playing Quote
Dood Posted January 5, 2008 Posted January 5, 2008 So yeah, forget the number of strings discussion.. but it's nice to see so many bass players doin' their thang on stage. Enjoyable video, despite not really understanding what the compere was on about lol!!! Didn't really see anything 'new' being tackled though.. pretty much the same slap and tap moves the way through. Not really a criticism, more that that I am panging to see someone do something a bit different.. like lay the bass down and play it with their..... nose. Quote
bass_ferret Posted January 5, 2008 Posted January 5, 2008 More w***ery - bet none of them can play a twelve bar As for the strings - this lot were quite normal but lets leave it there. Quote
teen t-shirt Posted January 5, 2008 Posted January 5, 2008 i'll admit that sort of stuff must take ages to learn and a lot of skill to do but that sport of stuff don't appeal.... i personally play bass to do the low ntes underpinning songs keeping it together if i wanted t do some wierd high noted "showing off" i'd play guitar..... sorry if i up set anyone but thats my view n that whole type of playing.... ARGH Posted January 6, 2008 Posted January 6, 2008 God that was boring....but that Morales was cool in both. Yet more proof that the traditional position of Bass guitar is gladly dying. Quote
