The Burpster
MY AWESOME wife has just agreed that is a good idea for me to get a,new bass. I've a 700 budget. I really fancy an ibanez srt900dx. beautiful thing. Is there anything else I should be considering at this kind of price? thanks in advance
This has just been relisted because it didnt sell. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/2000-PRS-Paul-Reed-S...=item1c17432aab Whack a last min bid in for the start price and you could have it in the UK for around your budget (maybe a bit higher after import duties) - believe me you would never want for another bass! If its gotta be here and no hassle, then late US P or J or a Warwick.
stingrayPete1977
Ignore the mojo Nicks guitars one and have a look at this. I reckon its perfect and if a deal was done behind ebays back (Im not suggesting that,Oh yeah I am arent I?) he could shave alot off the reserve price of £825? Mog
I know the Fenders well. You'll get a nice bass with that budget. Just to confuse you further I'd also consider the MIM Classic and Deluxe range too as they are seriously good players. I prefer them to the HWY1 (purely my tastes, others may not agree). And they will fall within your budget
Yep, the classic 60's jazz is superb. Same neck specs as as the aerodyne, SOOOOOO comfortable! essexbasscat
+1 for the RW Precision, or a RW Jazz, both as resonant as anything I've EVER played. Also +1 for the Stage One Streamer, if you're lucky enough to find one around that price. T

stingrayPete1977
That just means you can have a nicer Stingray So much choice in that price range that it should be a belter if you buy wisely.
xgsjx
I'd get yourself to a good bass shop & try out many different basses. Ibanez & Fender are like chalk & cheese. Not just in sound, but weight, neck profile, ergonomics & countless other things. Ones not better than the other but different. & then there's all those other makes to try too, again all different. Oh, how about a Luthmann? Be the 1st known on here to have one. Depends on the euro rate if it'll come in budget tho. Have fun!
