So I need a new source of strings for my 7 (fed up with Rotos), and found that there aren't too many sets of 7s you can buy which actually offer any kind of value for money. The overwater strings are about £21 I think - which is within budget for me - cheaper than the Rotos!

Anyway, before I order any, does anyone have any experience with them? :)

I use Overwater strings on my Lakland, brilliant string IMHO. Nice and bright without being over bright. and the brightness does last a decent amouny of time, although as you stated cheap enough to replace often.

I use OW strings on my 7, always loved them, great sound, long life and awesome price. Call the boys at OW and the strings will be on your doormat in no time!!!!

Hiya,
Another +1 on these strings - I use thm on my 5 string OW Jazz. Considering that I never used to use aything outside of Rotosounds or Elites at one time, I think these strings are ok.

Cheers,

I've tried a couple of sets but I whipped them off smartish as I'm a southern wimp and prefer the soft strong and very, very long texture of Elixirs ...

The nickles sounded a tad more dull than the Elixirs too ..
Shame 'cos they are very reasonable.
Why do they come in such odd gauges though?

Most excellent customer service though, and nice chaps ...
