AndyTheBassBison Posted October 31, 2010 Posted October 31, 2010 Hi! I hope that this is the right forum for this topic. I have an Eastwood Classic 4 which I'm looking to upgrade a bit as the hardware isn't great. It has a floating bridge (gretsch/hofner style thing) which annoying is not adjustable so I cannot improve the intonation at all! After a decent amount of Google-ing I can only find this which is kind of what I'm after except: a. It's gold. b. It's based in the US of A (which isn't ideal but wouldn't be the end of the world). Does anyone know of somewhere where I could find a bridge like this? Ideally in Chrome! Thanks, Andy. Quote

If your bridge is floating, have you tried tilting the bass end back from the neck ( \ ) to improve intonation. If you look at a Gibson Les Paul, you'll see the bridge is mounted at an angle for this reason. G. Quote
AndyTheBassBison Posted November 7, 2010 Author Posted November 7, 2010 Cheers for the responses. I'm ideally after a bridge where the individual saddles can be moved backwards/forwards so I can properly intonate... Quote
Musky Posted November 7, 2010 Posted November 7, 2010 I'm wondering if it wouldn't be possible to use a standard tune-o-matic style bridge and simply mount it to a suitable fashioned piece of wood. Would probably mean cutting down the studs though, Quote
AndyTheBassBison Posted November 12, 2010 Author Posted November 12, 2010 That is a damn good idea! I shall look into it... Quote
