duke of prunes
i took out the Berg 15 for the gig last night (powered by the iAmp500) had been gigging regularly with 2 Berg 1x12s, mainly because of ease of transport. the 15 is the practice space amp because... the 15 is a beast. 60lbs of beast. but. it sounded fantastic. big huge round bottom end. the 1x12s just can't do it the same way. i'm a convert. the 15 it is from here on out. chris_b
I'd like to hear one. It's a shame there isn't a 15" cab in Bergantino's current range.
rmshaw37
dangerous ground with all the theorists on here! but..... i completely agree - nothing rumbles like a 15! (never tried an 18 on bass though!!
Happy Jack
I've never tried the Berg, Michael, but I do love the sound of my Barefaced Big One. Next time you're over, you really should try it.
keeponehandloose
Always used 15s, I like the flub and muffle as I dont go for the hi-fi sound. One 15" pushes more air than 2x10 so more compact as well.
Paul S
I usually use a Trace Elliot 15" cab when just using one at rehearsals - love it. I add a 2x10" when gigging for a more rounded sound. Just got me a billion year old Trace Elliot 18" cab... my god... I've yet to pair it with the 2 x 10 but there is noticeably more depth than just the 15" - there's a quality about the sound that you feel rather than hear. Quite heavy, mind you. 4-string-thing
I don't think you can beat a 15" unless its with more of 'em! I'm seriously thinking of using this lot for my next gig....

krispn
I played through a 215 speaker last night and really enjoyed the sound. Plus it was my first ever 5 string gig and Um certainly interested in giving some 15's a go! Edited October 31, 2010 by krispn

pantherairsoft
My EBS neo115 is now used more than my 212. Amazing sound as a stand alone cab
Musicman20
I notice people are looking back at 15s, especially the lighter ones. Probably because the new 15s are much more efficient, or just because people are craving a bit of a different sound. I absolutely love my Orange OBC115...fantastic cab. I have considered re-housing the amp, and will probably do it at some point. Seeing as you once owned the same rig i guess you can sympathise with the downright dangerous task of getting the combo up onto the cab! 51m0n
The Berg HT115 is just a superb cab, 15 or not. Paired with its brother the HT210 its an utterly killer little stack. The HT210 is even heavier than the HT115, its a real workout getting the stack to a gig (you can see the pair of them at the SE Bass Bash if you're coming along), but it just sound so gooood.... I'd love to hear a pair of HT115s though, that would be utterly killer.
Musicman20
No doubt Berg WILL get back into 15s now, and it will be Neo. It will also no doubt be very good!
