Wow Mike. An intriguing design. How's it tuned? Any info you can share on this?

Just a standard Kubicki ExFactor, standard tuning, bought second hand nine years ago but was built in August 88 so is an original Kubicki before the licencing deal with Fender came into play. Bought by someones dad who kitted both sons out with top notch instruments that promptly got left in the cases under the stairs. I was more than happy to give it a good home. Sounds a bit different to my coral pink Fender Kubicki which is why I didn't mind turning the coral pink one into a fretless.

I've always fancied one of these myself. Looks nice in white, too.
Kenny Gradney of Little Feat is one particular favourite of mine who plays one.

Here is another white Kubicki then! This is #1777, a 1989 Fender "crossover" model. Pre Fender parts and build with the Fender custom shop stamp (much like my other Kubicki). This particular Ex Factor was my first top end bass that I bought with hard earned cash from my first job! I loved this bass, although if I'm honest it's not quite as good as this one which I have now (#1659, also a 1989 model):

This one sounds a little bit more aggressive and powerful in the midrange than the other one did, and it plays a bit better too. However, they're both fantastic basses and I'd easily have both of them. I think I'll always be a Kubicki addict; Phil is a fantastic guy for customer support and his basses are top notch. I just play my Kubicki and think "wow" because there really is nothing else that looks, feels or sounds like a Kubicki. Every time I listen to Stuart Hamm I'm reminded of how amazing these basses are.

I traded the white Kubicki for a Status Stealth bass, biiiiig mistake sadly!

Thanks a lot, guys!
The Shuker's, along with the Kubicki's have re-ignited my GAS problem... (stand well clear and no naked flames, please! :) ).
Add to that my existing GAS for a GB bass and I don't think I'll be going anywhere this bonfire night! :)
Nice bass but I'm afraid it's an EPIC FAIL in terms of it's whiteness.

Take it away, get it painted and try again!

:)
If I was to get it painted it would be in RED.............. Everyone knows Red ones are faster!!
