jonnyfastfingers
Lookin for some help peeps. In a covers band, we generally to indie rock but are having to sell out for a party gig and want to do Living On A Prayer by Bon Jovi, cheesy I know but you gotta cater for the audience. So anyways was trying to figure out how to do the whoa woah thing, sounds like they use a vocoder or something any ideas? Thanks in advance! nick
I reckon certain envelope filters might get you in the ball park, but you're probably better off, putting the question over to the effects section for a more definitive answer. D-L-B
It's a talk box pedal used with the guitar. I can't stand Bon Jovi but I've been able to approximate the sound pretty well on bass with a wah and distortion.

Really helps if you have a keyboard player who can nail the chords at the start (before the bass comes in ) - we find that people latch onto that striaght away.
