I think I had seen a pic already; yes indeed that's quite a beast! - do you have links to more pics to see it in all it's glory? Quote
binky_bass Posted November 12, 2010 Author Posted November 12, 2010 Yeah, ive got a nice little collection of pics from 1st stage wood choices to the final product, which i must say, although it came out an amazing instrument it took fred 2 YEARS to build. Oh and its tuned in 5ths all the way down from low F#, B, E, A..... you get the idea! Ill try and post a vid on youtube of its sounds, looks whilst in play etc, and ill try and do a dood and chuck up a build diary. Heres some extra pics to tempt those who KNOW they want one of these build for themselves! Russ. Quote
purpleblob Posted November 12, 2010 Posted November 12, 2010 Looks awesome ! Now I have enough trouble getting to the low notes on my 8 string, you must be a contortionist to get to those notes on the F# string Quote
bluesparky Posted November 20, 2010 Posted November 20, 2010 Mental! How the hell do you go about playing a beast like that?!! Quote
EdwardHimself Posted November 20, 2010 Posted November 20, 2010
Mental! How the hell do you go about playing a beast like that?!!
I should imagine it's for 2 handed tapping mostly. Quote
binky_bass Posted November 21, 2010 Author Posted November 21, 2010 yeah, i pretty much use it for tapping, but it growls like a beast if you play it in the standard fashion. An all round awesome bass! Quote
AttitudeCastle Posted November 22, 2010 Posted November 22, 2010 I'd get to the 6/7 string (from the treble side) when re-stringing then set up camp for the night Quote
