I am using a Fender Jag that has 2 pots which are the master volume and the tone pot. I seen this item on ebay and was thinking of removing the tone pot which I rarely use as its not overly effective and replacing it with one of these.

Does anone have any knowledge of these or if this upgrade would be possible.

Cheers

Not seen these before but the upgrade looks simple enough - manufacturers website is at http://www.artecsound.com/pickups/index.html.
I think the hardest part is liable to be finding somewhere to locate the 9v battery that is needed to run the pcb.
You'll need a 30mm depth to mount it into and will also need to replace the guitar jack socket.

am i right in thinking the jag is active? in that case you can take the feed from the existing battery.

also i've got the artec se3p, really great quality stuff for the money, easy to install (was all clip connectors) and the pots are all really smooth and solid. no experience with the od pot though.
