Musky Posted November 8, 2010 Posted November 8, 2010
He's got a similarly optimistic/mentally challenged/archly comic (delete to fit personal theory) mate in Bath: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/BASS-GUITAR-GIBSON-L...emZ130452604384 And you even get STICKERS with this one! spinynorman Posted November 9, 2010 Posted November 9, 2010 (edited)
HAHA I think he wrote the review on HC http://www.harmonycentral.com/products/100052
I wondered about that, but now I don't think so. I found the Google cached version in the old format and it was written 21 Nov 2005, which doesn't give a lot of time for the eBay seller to buy it in a shop the same year. In the review, he got it from a geetard who kept it in his closet, on ebay it's an ex-rental bass and the seller kept it in his closet. So it's more of a closet bass than a ghost, which all adds to the value. Looks like the EMG Select is a coincidence, or the ebay listing is even more fictional than we thought. And why post a broken link to a not-that-good review you wrote yourself? The only other reference to Vogue guitars I can find is this thread about a couple of Les Paul copies, which suggests there might be real wood involved in the body. And of course, made by Matsumoko, who else ... You really ought to be on commission.
It's a mangled, misquoted interpretation of something I once posted somewhere. That's the problem with sh!t like this on Ebay - these retards just misquote hard-researched bits of discussions and chop them around to fit whatever piece of broken car-boot junk they're trying to offload. Annoyingly I can't even message him to tear him off a strip because he's taken what I said and bastardized it in his own semi-literate fashion. J. Quote
