Has anyone used the new SE range from Shure? I have some E2s but they're falling apart after 2 years solid use so I need some new ones!
Anyone suggest any alternatives? As a bass player, I'm obviously keen on good bass response!

Cheers :)

Ultimate ears http://www.amazon.co.uk/Ultimate-Ears-IF-P...657&sr=1-63

These are way better than the Sures, I got a pair in June, I'm not sure which ones I've got, but they are great, the bass isn't deep and boomy, (you might want that for games but not music), it's defined and just 'there', they're expensive but worth it.

Bose dont have noise isolation as they have an open port. You will have to pay a lot of money to get better than the Bose.

If you really need isolation maybe get some proper ones custom made by somone like Ultimate ear. Compared to some that you can buy off teh shelf these are npot that dear for what you get. Mine are very good.

I've been looking at this

http://earplugstore.stores.yahoo.net/chpro10.html

looks like a bargain but I don't know anyone that's tried them and obviously you can't send them back (in the same way as you can't send dentures back!)

Thanks for the link, looks like a good shop. Have you used them?
