ben604 Posted January 7, 2008 Posted January 7, 2008 Has anyone used the new SE range from Shure? I have some E2s but they're falling apart after 2 years solid use so I need some new ones! Anyone suggest any alternatives? As a bass player, I'm obviously keen on good bass response! Cheers Quote
dudewheresmybass Posted January 7, 2008 Posted January 7, 2008 i know they are obviously not shure - but have you tried the bose triport IE. Bloody great headphones for IEM. great bass response, and good isolation. They can be found on amazon for less than £40 too! Quote
ben604 Posted January 7, 2008 Author Posted January 7, 2008 I did try the Bose Tri Port and didnt like them, they kept falling out and the sound isolation wasnt as good as my E2s! Cheers anyway! Quote
6stringbassist Posted January 7, 2008 Posted January 7, 2008 Ultimate ears http://www.amazon.co.uk/Ultimate-Ears-IF-P...657&sr=1-63 These are way better than the Sures, I got a pair in June, I'm not sure which ones I've got, but they are great, the bass isn't deep and boomy, (you might want that for games but not music), it's defined and just 'there', they're expensive but worth it. The Burpster Posted January 8, 2008 Posted January 8, 2008 Bose dont have noise isolation as they have an open port. You will have to pay a lot of money to get better than the Bose. If you really need isolation maybe get some proper ones custom made by somone like Ultimate ear. Compared to some that you can buy off teh shelf these are npot that dear for what you get. Mine are very good. http://www.ultimateear.com/ Quote
P-T-P Posted January 17, 2008 Posted January 17, 2008 Used Shure E3s in the past and liked them a lot, now using the SCL-3 and they are great. Quote
