Muzz Posted November 8, 2010 Posted November 8, 2010 OK, so I'm using the fretless for a couple of numbers, and I'm looking for a chorus pedal to make it 'sing' a little more in the appropriate places. What's the general consensus in the 'reasonably cheap' end of the market? All opinions, no matter how raving, gratefully accepted... Quote
lemmywinks Posted November 9, 2010 Posted November 9, 2010 I liked the Small Stone, very good pedal and can be had for around £30 used. My favourite chorus is the Stereo Electric Mistress, sounds beautiful with a fretless. I sold mine and regretted it straight away so i had to buy another! Expect to pay about £55 - £60 used though That Neo Clone Sk8 has for sale looks good too Quote
Low End Bee Posted November 9, 2010 Posted November 9, 2010 I'm very happy with the DOD FX64 Ice box I use. Got it on ebay for £22. It's not bass specific but works very well with one. Quote
Bassulike66 Posted November 9, 2010 Posted November 9, 2010 I'm going to be flogging my BOSS CE B3 chorus if your interested?! Quote
deepbass5 Posted December 26, 2010 Posted December 26, 2010 I have had a CEB-3 for years and it's just fine, so can recommend that. As you only really need effects on your top end (harmonics) the CEB-3 you can adjust how much of your lower end you expose to it. Works for me. Use it more than my flanger Quote
jensenmann Posted December 27, 2010 Posted December 27, 2010 (edited) For gigging I´m using a TC electronic SCF pedal, which I truly like. I have some more chorus pedals but they are sitting in the corner waiting for better days. Mostly I don´t like them because they cut off or muddy the lowend. JMT3781 Posted December 27, 2010 Posted December 27, 2010 i really want to try the carl martin bass chorus, but have never come across one... are they really worth the extra money? Quote
