Something Special - Fender PJ Precision with Aguilar Preamp, Black Blocks

This is a 1999 Fender Precision Special Bass which was a limited edition of basses that Fender USA made. They featured a Precision bodied bass but with the thinner jazz neck and the P/J pick-up configuration.

Just the body from this 1999 USA Precision Special has been used with the addition of the following major improvements:


[b] - Allparts USA Jazz Bass Neck with black block inlays.

- Hipshot tuners.

- Hipshot "D" Tuner.

- EMG P/J Active pick-ups.

- Aguilar OBP-2 band E.Q. fitted in control cavity, controls are now vol, vol and stack-knob treble/bass.

- Leo Quan Badass II Chrome Bridge.

- Fender USA replacement "Black Pearloid" pickguard.[/b]



As you may or may not have noticed I am trying to to slim down my bass collection. I need shot a few of my basses, keeping only what I truly need to gig and learn with.

I could do with slimming in all sorts of ways, Kev! I'm afraid I'm not after a Sub - cheers though. This is a pretty decent price (to say the least, in my opinion!).

Bloody hell - what a stunner!

that aguilar preamp is awesome, I have one in my warwick streamer stage one with EMG pickups and it is a powerful and versatile pre.

That neck is superb!

That is absolutely stunning - should be in Bass Porn, never mind here.

I've had an idea for a project like that on the back burner for years - about the only difference would be a natural body, but the red's just gorgeous. Is that a metallic finish?

Anyway, typically I can't afford it - but in the desperately unlikely event you've still got it in a couple of weeks - expect an offer!
