Mike
eBay Link You are looking at a superb, eighties Roland Rhodes MK-80 digital piano. This replaced the electro-mechanical Fender Rhodes back in the 1980's. It's quite large, very heavy and sounds great! I've been using it primarily as a midi-controller. This model has been used heavily by many well-known artists, particularly Herbie Hancock. The action is superb, quite heavy, so perfect for pianists. I read somewhere that it was modelled on a Bechstein Grand Piano. As you would expect, the rhodes/electric piano sounds are wonderful - from classic Steely Dan-esque Fender Rhodes tones to later Mike McDonald DX7 sounds. There are four of these electric pianos (all editable). There are also 2 acoustic pianos, vibes, clavichord. You can also add and adapt chorus, tremelo and phase, as well as EQ. It's extremely tweakable. It's 88key, and comes with a duel pedal, as well as a metal, sturdy, fold up stand. The condition is fairly good, the normal scuffs and scratchings you would expect with a piano this age. The only issue is one C# a few octaves above middle C where the note is a bit sticky and sometimes stays down - I'm advised that this is easily fixed (probably just needs unscrewing and a clean) but worth mentioning. Even though it sounds great through an amp (even better through one with tubes I imagine) I have downgraded to a smaller model. As stated previously, I use it primarily as a midi controller so anything can do! This is a large item, and postage would be astronomical, so it really needs to be picked up. I'm in Chelmsford, Essex - very near the A12, which connects to the M25. For a transport fee I could deliver over a reasonable distance. PM for more details! I'll also include the original manual with this item. Re payment - I would prefer either a cheque, online bank transfer or cash on collection. I can accept paypal but would rather not as the fees are so prohibitive for accepting money! But if that's a problem, we can discuss it.
