chilievans
I've just seen a mint condition SR1000E 1991 for sale at £350. Is this a fair evaluation of the bass and are they any good? Thanks in advance
Doctor J
I picked up a SR1300PM last week for about the same price so I'd say do it, definitely. That should have EMG's too. Just check the neck is straight before you commit to anything.

NURZE
i had one. I sold it 4 years ago. Overall it was a prety good bass. Fast neck, light as a feather and ergonomically very nice... The sound was really sparkly, not such a fan of the mids. The lows were really tight tough. I like that bass better than al the other SR's I owned. I sold mine for 300 euro's... xgsjx
I've got one. Had it since 1990 & never owned any other basses since buying it. It has a huge range of tones from top clanky sounds to dubby bass & just about everything inbetween. Pretty light with a very thin neck (good if you play fast). I put TI flatwounds on mine & the only downside for me is that it hasn't got 5 strings Sounds like a fair price to pay for one (they was £700 new in '90).
