Raslee
Haha wicked i'm playing this on Sunday. For the first time in years me & a drummer have organised a 7 piece FUNK ensemble too tickle our funk glands and see if they still exist having been in the dub for so long!!! - we're hoping to have a casual funk every month. Stratus was a tune mentioned to learn, along with Cissy Strut, Starsky & Hutch, Lonnie liston's Smith's 'Expansions' and er i think Chameleon oh and Fred Wersley's 'Fourplay'....I'm after music for the middle bit in Starsky & Hutch by the way (too lazy to work it out) - also need to work out the Stratus outro - It is a mother of a tune on the wrist that main riff, endurance! Suggestions for tracks for our 'Learner' funk (or rejuvenating old funkateers) welcome......

Stingray5
Woody Herman Big Band funk version of Steely Dan's "Kid Charlemagne". If that ain't fused, I dunno what is... (To be fair, I probably coulda put this track in Pete's 'God I love Jazz-Funk' and 'Funk and Groove' threads, too).

Lenny B
Not sure what to call this - is it Jazz-Funk? I do like it though (even with the changes) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m0c38Wtdvz0...feature=related
