slaptone
Its the HH 4 string bongo in lava pearl finish.Wont receive it till sometime next week so time is dragging now.Like i have said i am a sax player of 25 years now but started playing bass at school in rock bands till 17 so just getting back to my 1st love which is bass.Alot of the preamp talk is all new to me so it helps alot to get me to grips more with the bass world.Today i orded a Ashdown 5 fifteen mini stack (100 watts) so next week will be great and cant wait to get going with this combo.I have had a soft spot for Musicman bass's since i was in my teens. They also look amazing and when i saw the bongo i knew i would end up with 1.I will send pics of my new set up as soon as i get my babys but cheers again guys for your wisdom and help. Also your thoughts on which strings would suit the bongo for that funky, slap disco sound.
TheRockinRoadie
I have an MM Jazz IV and i don't have a problem with the stock pre-amp. I might upgrade it one day, but theres nothing wrong with it. I would like a cut option though...

Definitely give one a try if you get the opportunity
