The main factor they're intended to address is transmission of cabinet vibrations into the floor, but unless your cab is really poorly constructed the vast majority of floor excitation is caused by acoustical transmission, not mechanical, so a pad won't stop the floor from vibrating. It will isolate the cab from those vibrations, though. Quote
