Mykesbass
Thinking (a while in the future, after recovering from the shock of my car's latest MOT) that I'll need to upgrade from the Hartke HA2500 that I bought in a hurry. Like the idea of valves, liked what I saw of Yorkville as it was a while back, shame there are no UK stockists but the Thomann price seems very tempting. Anyone use/used their stuff? Thanks, Mike
dannybuoy
I didn't know you could get those from Thomann, I'll definitely bear that in mind as I'm gassing for a tube amp!

Mr. Foxen
Had a YBA200, was great, had a dropping out of the bottom of a flightcase on the way gig incident, and it played fine. There was an issue with the mk1 that was fixed, should only be able to get mk2s now. Some valve swapping is often advised, is part of the fun. Ok but nothing special tone wise, didn't really have much character I thought. Loud, fairly warm and pretty well made amps though. Probably good value valve bass head. Edit: Just seen the new price and I'd go for a used one if you can find one. For the money they go for new you could get something else used that'd be better. rodl2005
I got one- YBA200 the YBA200-2 is the 'newer' version with adjustable BIAS- mine has fixed bias- but I've had NO issues. Great tubey tone, OD nicely, 4get about the resonance, scoop & range knobs- leave 'em all OFF!!!!! They're all justy 'tone-suck controls' IMO. I got mine 2nd hand for near 1/2 that $$ But as stated-seem very well made. I got a manual if needed. See if U can get the PEAVEY VB-2 for a similar price- thats meant to be good. But I have no hesitation using mine for ANY gig.
