BoomBass
Hi, I have a very nice - and original - maple neck for a Lakland 55-02 up for grab. It's from a MIK bass, so it must be a few years old, but I don't know the exact year it was built. However, I do know that it's straight as an arrow and that the frets are in a good condition (plenty of life left!). So, if you should happen to have a 55-02 body or one with a rosewood neck, and you'd like to try that extra snap a maple will give you, this is for you :-) I am not 100% sure, but I think 5-string Joe Osborne and maybe even Daryl Jones basses have the same neck pocket as the 55-02, so they may be interchangeable? Anyway, I was told that the necks are the most expensive parts of a Lakland bass, and I see them going for approximately £800 used. On the other hand, I am aware that it's going to be harder to find someone who needs just the neck, so I'll let this one go for €400 (around £340 by today's exchange rate). PICS!
