Macko1968
Red, no Badass & a 4 bolt neck, wtf? Don't know how the signature ended up on that but it's not a MM neck!
warwickhunt
Listing pulled!
Bassassin
Got a look at it before the listing was pulled - definitely very shonky. Not certain, but didn't it say "Marcus Miller style"? Wonder if it was one of these with a dodgy sticker: http://www.bachmusik.com/en/music-instrume...odel-bach-bjb-s Jon. Wasn't one of those Bach basses as the inlays look genuinely inlaid on those, and they're bound necks (also do they even do a red one?), but that's a pretty cool find! LawrenceH
And it's back! But for how long? Now it's a 'Fender Jazz 'Marcus Miller' Custom built'. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...em=120649310703 That's surely just a flagrant a breach as before? It's no Fender custom shop job and it doesn't say 'copy' anywhere. Blatantly misleading.
warwickhunt
Is it the correct headstock (ie neck) but with a refinished body? Just looks to me (not that I've seen that many MM Jazz basses) that the headstock decals and MM sig look about right!

Also I'd put money on those inlays being stickers. They just don't look quite right.

It just looks a semi-convincing headstock but agreed that the inlays look a bit 'flat' and no binding!
Floyd Pepper
Just had a good look at this and I agree re: the binding, inlays, four bolt neck, etc Also, the decals don't look quite right compared with my current and my old MM Jazz. Both have the serial number underneath the Fender logo and 'Made in Japan' beneath the Jazz Bass logo. Shame because I actually think it looks quite nice in red! AndyTravis
Somewhere very close to me 'M27'. It's all kinds of wrong, may go just to poke fun.
tom1946
Sent him this: Hi, are you saying that this is a Marcus Miller as it says in the title? Or, is it a copy? Does the 'custom' bit refer to the colour? Is there no badass bridge? Thanks. Just thought I'd see what he says.
tom1946
Had a reply, hmm bit dishonest that advert. "Hi bought off a bass player on isle of wight festival, mostly mexican, with miller wiring/pickups/scratchplates etc.Looks, sounds and plays like a miller, dosent have the badass11 bride, but a heavy topstrung japanesse unit.Absolute jem for £300." cheers colin
zero9
It may be 'mostly Mexican', but certainly not 'mostly Fender'... The neck's completely wrong, definitely non-Fender (seems too wide near the head to be a Jazz). I do like the elastic band / bit of string around the nut (presumably to stop the strings from popping out).
