KevB Posted November 19, 2010 Posted November 19, 2010 Sorry, not for me. Sounds like a small group of ducks having an argument. Quote
EdwardHimself Posted November 19, 2010 Posted November 19, 2010 It just seems like general fretw***ery to me. I mean if you're great on the bass then great, but isn't music supposed to be a bit more, erm, musical? Quote
Conan Posted November 19, 2010 Posted November 19, 2010 It's good playing... technically impressive and all that.... But it leaves me a bit cold. Were the drummer and bass player playing together in the same room at the same time? There doesn't seem to be a lot of interaction going on. Quote
Oakbear Posted November 19, 2010 Posted November 19, 2010 Were they even playing the same piece of music? Dreadfully out of time for much of it. Some neat technical stuff i guess, but about the worst bass sound i've heard in ages and so many rookie errors...... Quote
Lord Sausage Posted November 19, 2010 Posted November 19, 2010 Not even that great technically. Mainly clicks. No musical invention. Also the drummer is turd! Quote
Count Bassy Posted November 20, 2010 Posted November 20, 2010
Also the drummer is turd!
That's odd, he speaks very highly of you. Quote
Jerry_B Posted November 20, 2010 Posted November 20, 2010 I keep falling asleep after 5 seconds - is the rest any better...? Quote
bluesparky Posted November 20, 2010 Posted November 20, 2010 Not for me, but life would be boring if everyone agreed! Quote
EssentialTension Posted November 20, 2010 Posted November 20, 2010
I suppose it's original...
Didn't seem very original to me, sounded like a load of noise I've heard a hundred times. Awful. Quote
Gust0o Posted November 20, 2010 Posted November 20, 2010 Horses for courses, I suspect. However, if we're going to decry this as crap can we also lump in large chunks of "experimental jazz", "fusion" and possibly Mark King and get our money's worth? Quote
Marvin Posted November 21, 2010 Posted November 21, 2010 They don't write them like they used to do they? Quote

Military hyperbole preferable at that. Major fretw***ery is good, but General is obviously superior. I also liked the cartoonish stereotyped facial agonies - they make me laugh.
