Bassmonkey Posted November 19, 2010 Posted November 19, 2010 I bought this recently from EBay as it not only looked ace and wasn't expensive but when it arrived, it also played like a dream. I have subsequently spent a few bob updating it with EMG pickups, a Hipshot Supertone bridge and replacement pickup surrounds, pickguard bracket, switch, jack socket, truss rod cover and speed knobs plus all screws as well as having the original machine heads re plated back to gold. I think it looks great now and have of course kept all the originals to swap back should a future sale be necessary. Here's a few before and after pics. I hope you like it. It honestly plays really nicely and the condition is amazing considering its age. Will allow me to give the Rickenbacker a rest for a while whilst posing like a rock god!!! (and yes, it will be suitably low slung to aid posturing!) Andy Quote
Soloshchenko Posted November 20, 2010 Posted November 20, 2010 Very, very cool bass mate. Nearly did pulled the ebay trigger on a black LP bass recently although I don't think it was half as nice as yours. Quote
