Yep, I had a listen to this only the other night. Some very cool grooves. Wasn't this the guy who played keys for Haggis Horns and Jamiroquai?

Also, have you heard the new Drizabone Soul Family album..'All the Way'. They did a funny PA support slot for Incognito the other night (Side note: I haven't seen a PA since the Radio London Soul Weekenders in the late 80's) but the album has some cracking tracks on it.

I've forwarded this link to Dan (JD73) - great, isn't it? We were at college and did many gigs together, one of my best mates. Awesome musician, and amazing bass player too.

There's a JD73 appreciation thread on the Incognito Forum

Will post when he's got gigs coming up...

:-)

In 1995 I went to the now defunct Phoenix Festival at Stratford-on-Avon and on that day I was lucky enough to see the following all on the Jazz Cafe stage!

Freakpower
Raw Stylus
Jessica Lauren
JTQ
Brand New Heavies

yet to find another festival with a line up like that all on one day!

WOW..what a line up...
i nearly went to see that BNH, Incognito, Omar, Carleen Anderson, D'influence that were on at a festival over one weekend that i missed in London about 4 months ago... bring on more of those sort of line ups....

went to see Down to the Bone with a different line up that had Julian Crampton...i put it up a while ago...they were killer and Julian was...well you know... got vids an all

Thanks for that, great stuff, great feel to it. Love it.

Although, just checked out three live Youtube vids and each one has a different drummer. They're not a funk version of Spinal Tap are they?
